Yes. Every day spent in Canada as a legal temporary-resident counts as a half-day, up to a maximum of 365 days. For example, if you lived in Canada as a temporary resident for three years, the amount of time that will be taken into account will be 1 year.
Does time spent outside of Canada during travels affect my eligibility period?
The minimum time you must stay in Canada to be eligible for Canadian citizenship is 1,095 days, within the last 5 years. The days you spend outside of Canada in this period will not count towards eligibility time.
